Owen Sound native Justin Glenn fired a final-round 73 (+1) to help his Delta State men’s golf team win the Derrall Foreman Invitational - the first tournament of the fall season.
Glenn shaved 9 strokes off his first-round score of 82 and that helped the team, which was in third after the first round, squeeze out a one-shot victory over North Alabama.
Glenn, who is in his second year at Delta State but was competing in his first tournament, ended up in a tie for 34th.
Teammate Grant Goforth was tops on the team, shooting 68-73 and tying for third.
Fellow Delta State golfers Trey Howell (70-75) and Caleb Westmoreland (78-67) tied for sixth. The other member of the team, Luke Brown, shot 75-73 and finished 16th.
The tournament was held at the Delta State home course - Cleveland Country Club in Cleveland, Mississippi.
The event featured some of the top teams in NCAA Division II and NAIA golf.
